SGI Wales Woman Course Day 1

Mood:Excited Health:Good Weather:Hot

This weekend, I got something fulfilling for me! I have registered for a 2 day SGI- Wales woman course!!! I was told to take train to Penarth and Zoe, a member will pick me up from there.

Got to catch my train! It had just arrived at the Cardiff Central Station shortly...

"Sam! Do you know how to take pictures?" Oops, the words got blocked by a 'No-smoking sign' inside the train :(

I bought the train ticket inside the train from an inspector. I could get away from it since he doesn't walk around checking for ticket. But getting caught is a shameful experience which I would never want (though not many knows me in this foreign land!)!
Looking sad? Just usual thoughtful Sam...

Reached my destination!
This is how Penarth looks like outside the train station. It is a very pretty and peaceful town!

Zoe, a tall and pretty lady picked me up from here. Normally the European ladies look more mature but Zoe is an exception. She looks young and I was shocked when she told me that she has two children and the eldest is twelve years old!

After around 10 minutes of driving, we reached our venue 'The Old School' for the course. Such a cute little school!

There were about 70 women attending this course and this was the first woman course being held. Lucky Sam! You came at the right time!
'Capable Woman' You see, those who attended this course are capable woman! HAHAHA...Gosh I love this! Later, I saw something which made me aghast...

"Zoe! I didn't know I am promoted to WD!!" She laughed and assured me "Yes, it is a woman course but the young women are invited also!" Ok, I didn't come at the wrong place! Phew!

We got Gosho study, 3 ladies sharing their testimonials, a group discussion and loads of coffee breaks!!!

For the first time in my life, I could understand every bit of the Gosho 'The Opening of the Eyes' delivered today. I have read it many times in the past but found it dry and difficult to understand. Perhaps being in complex engineering studies has strengthened my brain over the months and maybe made it more complicated :(

I enjoyed myself so much today! The members are so open, truthful and passionate! I also made a special friend! She is Monica from Portugal and she is a transvestite. She shared so truthfully with me about the stages she has to go through to become a woman. I could understand the kind of fear, rejection and ostracization she had when she decided to go under the knife. And I really admired her spirit and courage.

Ok, got to have an early rest! I got another long day tomorrow for the second part of the course!
