BIG flood!

Went to do my laundry this evening and it reminded me of an incident happened 2- 3 weeks ago...

I was hesitating that afternoon "to go or do it tomorrow?" I was busy but I have almost nothing to wear. By the time I decided to do my laundry, it was already 10.30pm. So I carried my BIG basket of clothes to the laundry site. When I got there, I noticed a stream of water parallel to the row of washers and dryers. Nevertheless, I popped in my clothes into the washer, inserted $2 then left. 38 minutes later, I was back to the site, transferring my washed clothes to the dryer, inserted some pennies then left.

As I walked to pick up my clothes 1 hr later, I was surprised to see that the site was locked and a note was pasted on the door "Closed due to flood until further notice."

"Shit!! My clothes are inside!" I knew it must be the brainless security guard! I saw him earlier, investigating on the pool of water, so I went to see him...

I was mad but I kept cool "Hi! I left my clothes in the laundry site and it was locked. Is it possible that I could go in and get my clothes?"

"Sorry lovely! There is a BIG flood inside. You can't go in until further notice."

(BIG flood? How could that be? I was there an hour ago and all I saw, was a pool of water, nothing serious. Beside, it was very late and no one did their washing. So how could there be more water? I started to doubt on that silly ang moh.)

"So when can I get my clothes out?"

"Come back tomorrow morning. The maintenance staffs will be in to repair the machines."

Silly old sheep! How could he just shut the site like that! So angry!!

The next morning, I woke up early. I was worried about the maintenance staffs dumping my cleaned clothes somewhere else. I went to see the guard again, hopefully somehow, he would let me pick up my clothes. This time, it was another guard on shift.

I explained to him about my flight and I was annoyed when he said,

"Sorry, it was locked because there is a BIG flood. I can't let you in, you have to wait until the maintenance staff have repaired the machines. Come back at 9am and talk to them in allowing you to go in."

Then he talked to me about the need of a staff to go in with me for safety issues etc. Since last night, my mind was revolving on "BIG flood"! I wondered how BIG it was to create such an overwhelming concern!!

Finally, I was permitted to enter the site to collect my clothes after talking to the management and maintenance team. I was cursing all the silly people when I saw the state of the site. It looked exactly the same state as last night. Bloody hell! Where was the BIG flood? Infact, the pool of water had become much shallow compared to last night, most probably dried up. I was even imaging that the site must have became a swimming pool based on what everyone has been telling me - "BIG flood".

You know what annoyed me the most? All my clothes in the dryer were as wet as they were just taken out from the washer. That brainless twit must have shut off all the power supply just after I left my clothes inside. And "best", they smelled because they have been left wet overnight. Arrrgghhh....

Why people can be so brainless? Sighs... Damn... my pennies just gone for nothing. And I have to wear stinking clothes for the past weeks!

Can't really stand some people some time...
