THE MORNING OF NEW YEAR!
I was still half- awaken on the morning of New Year day. Didn't get much sleep on the bed after counting down and partying in town until 3am+! My devilish functions told me to abandon Jeff for the New Year prayer and continued sleeping, but my conscience didn't allow me to do that for a good reason...
Jeff doesn't know the way to Ling's house :( And I have promised him that we will walk there together and I will be his guide.
The long walk and the cool air by the park was refreshing. The weather was still very cold with minus degrees. After a long walk, we finally reached Ling's house and was greeted by her and Woon's warmness. So cold that I requested for a hot cup of tea which was ... HEAVEN!
Despite being so exhausted, I was glad to be there to do my first hour of chanting on this significant day. A strong prayer to lead the rest of the year...
After that, Woon and Ling served us snacks (which turned out to be lunch) and beverages. I believed Ling got my all time favourite 'smoked salmon' dip on purpose that day. Wow... so good :)

WOW!!! Chocolates from Thorton!! Later in the afternoon, Woon and Ling brought us to Thompson park near their house. It was so cold that the water in the lake has turned to ice...

The guys were so cold that they ran to the car for warmth while Ling and I were observing the icy lake. Sighs... Woman is still the stronger one!!
