Mood:Good Health:Thumbs up Weather:GoodDon't think that this is just a sweet roll of toilet papers! I realised the flowers printing is not just for the beauty or purely a design. Infact, the printing served another purpose - to hold the 4 ply papers together.
As the printing pressed on the papers, it marked the traces on each ply, causing protruding surfaces and this pressing forces sticked all the 4 ply together. In case, the markings are not strong to hold the last ply, the manufacturer do the printing on the 2nd sheet of ply instead of the 1st ply.
Mr. Pickett must be glad that his design classes have not gone to a waste for a student like me...
(He impressed me by not missing out any mechanical details in some simple products we were looking at. Most of the time, we took for granted the things we used everyday, never realised the inventor's creativity and intention.)
Start looking at things in another way and you will start to appreciate them...
